I don't believe that the world will end by that year, although we have numerous signs of the end times.
The end of the world suggests the second coming of Christ. Even the Muslims believe this and such fact is mentioned in their Holy Book, the Qur'An. For them, Isah (Jesus) will come on Judgment Day. But for the exact time of His coming is never known to anybody, not even the religious.
"Watch, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming." Matthew 25:13 clearly puts everything in a nut shell.
