dog: man's bestfriend or foe?

Four years ago, my father died from a vehicular accident. It was early morning when he went to Molave. The speed of the motorbike he was driving was just that of a bicycle when suddenly, a black dog, out of nowhere, suddenly crossed the street.. hitting the vehicle he was driving. Losing his balance, it was like, he nose-dived towards the pavement. Some passerby rescued him, brought him to the nearest hospital but the doctors in Iligan ( where he was later transferred) said his was secondary to brain damage. We lost him  2 days after of the accident.
So tell me, are dogs still a man's bestfriend or foe?

I'm sorry to hear this. But I think it's a different story. Kung iring ang mitabok, posible gihapon nga mahatabo ang aksidente. Sa akong tan-aw aksidente gyod to kay wa man sab nagtoo ang iro nga ang iyang pagtabok sa dalan maoy hinungdan sa aksidente, di ba? Wala motibo ang iro ang mo-cause ug pain sa inyong family.

You have a point. Unta no, ang mga owners, resposible enough sa pag-keep sa ilang mga pet dogs nga dili magsuroy-suroy sa dalan. I had my share of accident also last 2007, iro sad ang hinungdan, mikalit lang ug tabok, kamang2x tawn ko sa dalan. Faet.
And everytime mag drive na ko ug motor, mo-minor na gyud ko kung naa ko'y makita nga iro sa unahan... Kung pwede lang mapaabot na to ni sa mga lawmakers, nga mga owners unta, ila i-keep ilang pet dogs sa sakto nga pamaagi. Di lang kay disgrasya sa mga sakyanan mahitabo kung roaming around ang mga doggies, maka-paak pa.

ang iro dapat dli jud na maka gawas sa dalan... dapat responsible tawn ang nag buhi ana.. if mogawas man gani ang iro make sure gihiktan na uban sa owner. naa unta law sa atong nsod nga mo fine sa mga irresponsible pet owners.

I agree. Dapat ang pet owners ang i-disiplina. Sa southern Mindanao (nakita nako sa TV - Born to be wild) gipangdakop ug gipangpatay ang iro ngadto (thru gas chamber) tungod sa rabies. So dili lang disgrasya sa dalan, naa pa gyod ang rabies. Ang mga residents nga naa daplin sa karsada dapat magmatngon gyod aron dili makadisgrasya ang ilang iro.

diri sad sa Mahayag sa una, gipamusil man ang nag-laroy-laroy nga mga iro. Maayo unta ug nagpadayon to, pero karon, sama sa ubang pamalaod, maayo lang sa permiro, inig kadugayan, wa  na pud.

Dog's supposed to be a member of the family.  Mao na ila lantaw sa mga iro diri sa Canada.  And it's really good to have one in the family...i guess it's really good for the kids.
